A major challenge for the layout of content for mobile devices are the different sizes of displays and the ability to rotate the device page orientation (reading / page orientation). Because of this, pages must be adaptable to different aspect and perfectly fit in both portrait and landscape format.
As a result, Purple DS apps have various content fit strategies. Each of these settings optimizes your content for various use cases.
You can choose between the following content settings when creating your app or your content:
Content fit strategies can be configured at various layers.
You can configure the content in Purple DS Manager's basic settings. As a result, it applies to the entire app and all content
You can specify the content fit strategy in the Composer in the window menu under "File" -> "Document Settings ..." This will then apply to all the pages of a document. If you have selected the "Controlled by App" setting, the content fits strategy is automatically applied
If you choose a different setting than the one in the app, the document setting will apply before the app's general setting. Therefore, the content of this project will be displayed in the app.
You can configure the content on the side bar (on the left, gearwheel icon) on every page of a project. If you have selected the "Controlled by Document" setting, the content is created
If you choose a different setting than the document setting, the page setting will apply before the general configuration of the document settings or the app.
